Thurnwood is set in the heart of the beautiful peaceful countryside of Dorset.

We operate a small yard for full or part liveries set in wonderful riding country

All YEAR turnout in 20 acres in large well kept grass fields. Only six horses on the land with a small flock for Portland sheep.There is shade in the summer and shelter in the winter due to high hedges and big trees.
Very good haylegde and wood pellet bedding.

All facilities, including new 50m arena with jumps, dressage boards etc. The arena is always available to use.

Ride on miles of bridleways including the Wessex Ridgeway which crosses about a mile up the road from us. Quiet roads suitable for driving.

Hunting with the South Dorset, Blackmore Vale and Portman Hunts, all within easy reach Always someone to ride out with.

Several competition venues within easy reach, Dorset Showground, Kingston Maurward, Morton Equestrian and Bovington Centre.

Owners live on site so 24 hour care 7 days a week. Always someone to hack out with. Regular visits from an instructor. Transport on site is available to events, hunting etc.
