If you are looking for a smaller, quieter, adult-only yard offering tracks through Spring/Summer and well-drained, mud-free everyday winter grazing with miles of off-road hacking then you’ve found it.
A mix of tracks that are lined with hedgerows for plenty of spring/summer foraging & a large hardstanding yard area with field shelters and water trough, which the horses can choose to come back to at any point in the day.
You won’t find horses in pairs or individual turnout here, no stressed horses, left in or out on their own or craving equine company and certainly no horse is left with nothing to eat for hours on end or shut in a stable for the best part of a day.
To ensure our fields continue to flourish with meadow and timothy grass, we don’t overgraze and stable overnight through the winter months allowing for 10 hours of turnout every day.
To join the small herd, your horse must be barefoot, very sociable ie has lived with mares/geldings previously, and not shown any aggressive behaviour (kickers will not last long here), and be able to adapt to a more natural lifestyle.
To join the small human herd, you must understand the concept of friends (allowed to socialise and bond), freedom (to move and have choices of where to go and who to be with when you’re not around) & forage (adlib meadow hay, your horse will thank you for it).
Large outdoor arena, secure site with electric gates and CCTV with owners on site.
