The traditional model of keeping horses in stables with access to grass-rich paddocks can lead to a multitude of health & behaviour issues. Removing the horse’s ability to carry out natural behaviours such as grooming, foraging constantly, moving & decision-making, can cause huge stress and result in ulcers, box-walking, weaving, separation anxiety, aggression etc.

We encourage movement via tracks around & through the land, restrict grass intake and feed ad-lib, tested meadow hay. Our barefoot horses are free to be inside or out and to socialise with friends as nature intended
