My first feeling of viewing Ridge Farm was a sense of relief. At last, a yard that had everything I needed!I arrived with a tricky, sharp, unsettled mare, with whomI struggled. However Tabitha treats each horse as an individual and cares about the horses’ welfare, both mentally and physically. My mare has flourished as a result, and I now thoroughly enjoy each and every day with her. Tabitha is an excellent trainer, for all levels, and her attention to detail is second to none. She employs a great team of very professional staff, lead by a superb Yard Manager. Can’t recommend this yard highly enough.

As a client,I couldn’t recommend TP dressage highly enough. The level of experience and attention to detail is exceptional and the standards of horsecare and training are clearly very high.What i especially love is the atmosphere. Despite the professionalism the yard feels calm,relaxed and inviting. It’s a pleasure to be there.Everything runs smoothly without feeling rushed or pressured,which makes a huge difference for both horse and rider.The training is extremely supportive and thoughtfully delivered. Ridge farm is an excellent facility kept to a high standard. Tabitha has trained with world class Olympic dressage riders and team coaches for decades. That knowledge transcends into the daily running of the yard, which coupled with Tracy’s ‘no stone left unturned’ approach to horse care, create a seamless and conscientious environment to train with your horse. Highly recommended.

I have kept two horses at Tabitha’s yard during my time working as a specialist equine vet working at the Royal Vet College Equine Referral Hospital. During this time the horses were cared for impeccably well and Tabitha’s wealth of experience and knowledge, not only in training the horses but their over-all care including veterinary knowledge, was some of the highest I have experienced as a horse owner. She, and her team cared for my mare following a period of hospitalisation and intensive care, since I was not living in the local area and relocating, and the trust, diligence and attention to detail was outstanding. I even left my horses with her whilst I was relocating as they were so settled and commuted 2 hours to see them on the weekends. I only left the yard as work took me to another part of the country and I couldn’t continue the commute but I highly rate the yard as friendly, professional, attentive and full of love and care for the horses as if they were their own. Not to mention that yard premises is beautifully kept with a real pride in maintenance of the yard, gardens and arena alongside the care of the horses.

I have been a full livery at Tabitha’s yard since September 2023. My horse settled in very quickly. It is a beautiful yard that is spotless at all times, and well laid out for both staff, clients and horses! Tracy (the yard manager) not only manages the lives of our horses ensuring that they keep to their various vet, dentist, physiotherapy, osteopath or farrier appointments; but she also makes the clients’ lives so much easier by organising the horses rugs to be cleaned, the replenishment of any supplements, or any medications to be administered just to name a few. All turnout, whether it be individual or herd, is so well thought out and the fields are extremely well maintained. The team at Ridge Farm are professional, friendly, extremely helpful and very experienced. They keep the yard running to such a high standard whilst at the same time catering to a horse’s individual requirements. My horse is thriving at the yard and it can be seen in his condition and his character. When I go away on holiday I do not worry at all about my horse as I know that he is being looked after so well. I am so comfortable at this yard that I recently bought another horse – a youngster – and team Ridge have helped him to settle into his new surroundings. I have Tabitha’s support every single day whether it be lunging, schooling or hacking him – she is by my side – educating me on how to own a young horse. Tabitha’s training is fantastic prioritising the rider’s safety and confidence first and foremost. She works with your ability as well as the horse’s and communicates effectively which helps us to progress together. There is a such a friendly and supportive group of clients too. We have a lovely new kitchen and comfortable ‘common room’ where lots of chocolates and hot drinks can be found! I highly recommend this yard to anyone looking for a 7 star home for their horse.

Having had horses for most of my life. I had to take a break when I had 3 children close together. I decided 10 years later to get back into it properly. I decided the most sensible thing would be to loan before I bought, this went horribly wrong as I chose the wrong horse to loan and the wrong stable to keep my horse. I had the worst experience and my new horse experience ended up being new found lack of confidence and hostile yard that was not pleasant to be at all. I decided to buy my own horse, which is exactly what I did. I couldn’t find a suitable stables and was on the brink of giving it all up. When I was recommended highly by a friend to Ridge Farm. My whole experience has been bought back to my dream. I have the best professional dressage instructor, who has been patient and understanding when I’m nervous. I loved Ridge Farm so much I secured my stable before my horse. Tabitha was helping me to find the right horse and I now have my little Spanish prince. I’ve never in all my years and many stables been to one like this. I love it, my horse loves it. The staff are amazing and Tabitha brings us all together. I didn’t think I would get where I am now and improving all the time. I even take my none horsy parents to sit and watch as the yard is so peaceful with such a warm atmosphere. I have not one bad thing to say about this beautiful place.

I have been at Tabitha’s yard for just over two years and it has been the best decision I ever made for both myself and my horse.Tabitha’s coaching is second to none. With my riding she has taken me from a very average passenger with low confidence, to someone who has the confidence and knowledge to train my horse.Having an instructor on the yard is a huge benefit and Tabitha is super generous with her time, being there for all of her clients 24/7.The yard is immaculate at all times of the day and runs like clockwork. Tracy (yard manager) and the staff are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Making the yard feel so welcoming, with a genuine calm and relaxed atmosphere.The yard is dressage focused, however, my main aim is to event and this has been fully encouraged and supported. I have a jump lesson every week, with a showjumping instructor who sets up a course for me in the arena. The arena surface is incredible. Once all the jumps are away, you would never even know a jump lesson has just taken place.I can not recommend Ridge Farm enough! All the horses are so happy and fulfilled and absolutely everything is taken care of; vets, farrier, saddler, clipping, bathing/grooming, rug washing etc. Allowing me to just enjoy my horse!

As a full livery at Ridge Farm, I can confidently say that the service provided by Tabitha and her dedicated team of staff is second to none. My mare arrived to the yard as a timid and unsure character, however has grown in confidence astonishingly since being at Ridge Farm, where the staff have treated her as though she is their own and patiently gained her trust. The staff at Ridge Farm are communicative, helpful and genuinely passionate about the well-being of the horses within their care; it is this passion that translates into the top condition of the horses on the yard. I have full confidence in Tabitha and her team. It is particularly helpful that farrier, dentist and vet visits are pre-planned by the yard’s staff, and with regularly visiting equine masseurs and osteopaths, my mare has never felt better in her ridden work. The facilities are kept in perfect condition and turnout is organised brilliantly, with pairings and herds being decided upon thoughtfully. The availability of individual turnout is also a real benefit.Ridge Farm is both professional and ambitious, but equally provides a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere within which you feel comfortable enough to ask questions.
