Smeltings Farm Riding Centre is a family run business and has been established since 1986. Situated on the outskirts of Sheffield, only 4 miles from Sheffield City Centre, Smeltings Farm sits amongst 35 acres overlooking the picturesque Mayfield Valley and is just 1/4 mile from the Peak District National Park.
We offer lessons from private to class, catering for each client’s individual needs. All lessons are taught by suitably trained instructors, with the knowledge and experience to teach to the required level. We have a range of horses and ponies from 12.2hh to 17.2hh and of all ages. For children we run additional lessons and courses during school holidays.
We only offer a full livery service and we believe this service is second to none. With a range of facilities available to livery clients and also the unique full care we provide with our dedicated and committed staff. Our livery service is run in a professional and caring manner, offering full time care for all our horses and the use of good quality facilities. We are British Horse Society Approved and have stabling for thirty-six horses. All our staff are trained and committed to the care of all the horses on the yard and we have dedicated Yard Supervisors who are responsible for their own stable block thus maintaining a more consistent level of care and supervision. Our staff offer a unique combination of experience and qualifications which benefits the health and well being of all the horses.
