Shadowmere Equine Retirement Livery

Nestled among our arable farm based in the Lincolnshire countryside, Shadowmere is a family run livery centre specialising in equine retirement, offering a life of luxury to those that deserve it most.

Our facilities have been carefully selected and purpose built with the upmost consideration for the retired horse and their individual requirements. Facilities include generous 14x14ft airy Monarch stables with an additional 14x14ft individual all-weather turnout, Horselight lighting, Drimee solarium, Wash bay and weighbridge, an all-weather turnout and acres of green grass for all year turnout.

We pride ourselves on the level of service provided, to both horse and owner. Whilst your beloved horse is enjoying retirement, we haven’t forgotten about you. CCTV is available throughout the entire facility, ensuring that even when you are not able to visit, you can still check in on your horse whenever you like, this includes access to your horses individual stable CCTV. Monthly updates are provided which include health and general information on your horse and what they have been up to, and of course, you are always more than welcome to visit anytime with a friendly face and the kettle brewing to welcome you.

Between us, we hold several relevant qualifications with countless years of experience, including an NVQ in Horse Care, a Diploma in Equine First Aid & Ailments, a degree in Agriculture and a RCVS Registered Equine Veterinary Nursing Diploma. We believe that all of these, our experience and our passion for providing equine care makes us the perfect team to support your horse in their retirement.

Our brand new facility was officially opened in July 2022 and we are looking forward to welcoming your horse to our very special home from home.
