Red House Farm Livery Stables

We are a small friendly yard run by a husband and wife team with over 40 year’s experience with horses across the disciplines.

Our aim is to provide a high standard of care and facilities to our clients and their valued horses above and beyond the standards set for the BHS Livery Yard Approved Scheme, yet all competitively priced to suit your pocket.eye on things day and night.

Whatever your horse’s requirements we are sure we will be able to help you, whether it is for a show or competition horse or pony, or valued old family faithful – give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Our Large Brick Stables 14’ x 13’ are in either traditional or American Barn style – all have outside windows so the horse can have its head out of the window with views over the gardens and paddocks and all stables are fitted with automatic water drinkers. Both stable blocks are off a concrete yard and walkways; the stables form a courtyard in front of the house which enables us to keep an eye on things day and night. For additional security, Dusk ’til Dawn Security Lighting is installed in the stable yard.

New Arrivals

Before the arrival of your horse, its designated stable is power washed down to ensure the stable is very clean and hygienic, all stables are painted inside; lower half black, top half white – the stables are bright and well ventilated.

On arrival all new horses are wormed prior to being turned out; we maintain a regular worming programme and all horses are wormed at the same time.
Stable Management

If this is your first horse, training in stable management and horse care is available where we can guide you through this exciting new time.

Hacking

We are close to numerous bridle ways that link together within a short distance on the road which can give a hack of 1 hour, 2 – 3 hours or more depending on your preference. There are also hacks along quiet lanes towards Hemingstone, Coddenham, and Shrublands Estate which has bridle ways running through it.

Show Venues

We are conveniently situated for the A14 and A 12 road links that will get you quickly on your way to the more distant shows; we are within easy travelling distance of Wix EC, Norton Heath EC, Orwell Arena, Trinity Park Show Ground, Newton Hall E.C, Otley College, also within easy Hacking Distance is Westerfield Showground.
