Pencarrow livery stables is a small and friendly professional family-run yard situated close to Bodmin Moor and Roughtor Mountain.

Pencarrow livery yard has excellent facilities for the horses and their owners. There is a range of indoor and outdoor stabling with a range of stables sizes. The yard has electric and water. There are hard standing tie up areas, and a hot horse shower. There is plenty of storage with a tool room and secure individual tack rooms. The yard has 24/7 CCTV and plenty of parking.

Riding facilities include a 10 x 20m floodlit all-weather arena, a seasonal grass arena and a new loddon 30ft metal-panelled round pen. There are also poles and showjumps available for use. There is also a 40ft round pen ideal for exercise or winter turnout.

Individual or shared turnout space is available, which during the summer months can be 24-hour with strong secure fencing with mains electric. There is a stone track leading from the stable yard to the paddocks. There are automatic waterers in a selection of paddocks and also mains water nearby. There is also a hard standing all weather turnout area.

We are based in Advent Camelford which is a rural parish that is comprised mainly of moorland. The area offers almost unlimited riding across the ancient breathtaking moorland. It is also only a 20 minute ride to Rough tor which has wide open moorland with picturesque scenery that stretches for miles. Rough tor mountain and Bodmin moor is one of Cornwall’s great hacking locations and one of the best long distance endurance hot spots.
