Paddock paradise track system livery yard located near Newport, Shropshire. 

One of two facilities, our ‘woodland yard’ is suitable to working or ridden horses and owners searching for a species appropriate to keep them in. This track system runs over 8 acres of beautiful woodland and is nearly fully surfaced (a work in progress). This herd is mixed and barefoot only, accommodating horses of all shapes, ages and sizes. 

Many owners are led to believe track systems are for a specific type of horse. In reality, they provide an environment that encourages natural living and behaviours, prioritises both mental and physical health and approach horse care for a whole horse perspective. It not only works to prevent and rehabilitate common conditions but keeps the herd active, healthy and fit too. 

The track system:

• Nearly full surfaced track system within the woods.
• Wrapped hay etc available at all times, provided in nets and accessible 24/7.
• Herd living only for mares and geldings.
• Species-appropriate environment, no grass, and care focused on the horse’s whole health.
• Electric fencing powered by solar panels with backup batteries.
• Introduction pen/closed off feeding area.
• ByHiggins Lick Safe lick blocks with salt and minerals available 24/7.
• Automatic water trough and additional salt water.
• Natural shelter provided by the woods.
• Enrichment sources.
• Halter hanger for easy access to head collars at gate entrance.

Suitable for horses with or predisposed to Laminitis, Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), obesity, horses with grass-related issues, anxious behaviours, stress or boredom, ulcers, navicular syndrome, resource guarding, arthritis, etc.

Facilities:

• Tack room and tea room with secure storage
• Microwave, kettle, fridge and small tuck shop on site
• Indoor holding pens for rainy day appointments or grooming sessions (not used as stables)
• Secure enclosed yard with tie rings
• Second yard with tie rings
• Outdoor grass riding area 
• Mini hippo shower
• Small parking area
• Toilets
• Trailer and box storage
• Direct access for hacking from the facility: quiet country lanes, wooded/field trails, or bridle paths

• Managed by experienced professionals specialising in rehabilitation, particularly for issues related to nutrition, movement, and trimming.
• Happy to help your horse transition from shod to barefoot upon arrival.
• Regular visits from our ISNHCP practitioner.
