I have returned to horses and riding after a long break. Many years ago I kept a horse here and found it to be a fantastic stables. Now I've come back and to be honest it is even better than before - the facilities are excellent, the staff and other liveries friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The instructors know how to put you at your ease and are great at helping you to feel confident and safe. The owner is lovely (same owner as years ago) and the yard looks beautiful with all the stunning plants and flowers. The schools are well maintained, and the local hacking is excellent. Recommended 5*

I recently had an incredible opportunity to embark on my first horse riding lesson, and I must say it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. Milly, my instructor, played a pivotal role in making this adventure unforgettable. Her expertise, enthusiasm, and friendly nature created an atmosphere that was both instructive and enjoyable. From the moment I arrived at the stables, Milly made me feel at ease. She exuded a genuine passion for horses, and her warm demeanor immediately made me feel welcome. As a beginner rider, I had a few apprehensions, but Milly skilfully addressed each one, taking the time to explain the basics of horse riding with patience and clarity. Milly's knowledge is truly impressive. She shared insightful tips and techniques, ensuring I grasped the fundamentals before mounting Tia, the beautiful horse I had the privilege of riding. Throughout the lesson, Milly focused on building a strong foundation of skills, emphasising proper posture, balance, and communication with the horse. What truly sets Milly apart is her ability to make the lesson fun and engaging. Her infectious enthusiasm and positive attitude were contagious, turning what could have been an intimidating experience into a joyous adventure. Milly effortlessly infused humor and anecdotes into the lesson, creating a relaxed environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance. Under Milly's expert guidance, I quickly gained confidence and began to develop a connection with Tia. Milly's dedication to my progress was evident as she provided timely feedback, encouraging me to try new techniques. She adeptly tailored the lesson to my abilities, ensuring that I felt both challenged and supported throughout. I cannot express enough gratitude to Milly for her outstanding instruction. Thanks to her, I have discovered a newfound love for this incredible sport and am inspired to continue pursuing it. I wholeheartedly recommend Milly as an instructor to anyone looking to embark on their own horse riding journey. In conclusion, my first horse riding lesson with Milly was an absolute delight. Her expertise, friendly nature, and ability to create a fun learning environment made it an unforgettable experience. I eagerly look forward to my next lesson and the opportunity to further enhance my skills under Milly's exceptional guidance.

A very friendly yard where the horse comes first. The staff are very knowledgeable and always willing to help and having an onsite shop is always a plus. There are great hack routes that are easily accessed directly from the yard and regular shows meaning there is something for everyone from the happy hacker to serious event. You feel like part of a family here and I would definitely recommend this yard.

Lovely family friendly yard. Everyone is really helpful and the staff are knowledgeable and it is just like one big family. Nothing is too much trouble. BHS accredited Coach onsite. Dressage and jumping. Joydens wood for hacking (small annual fee payable )with only a short lane (bridle path) to get to it. Really safe. 365 day turnout which is excellent for horses mental health. 2 sand schools so can always school your horse. Round pen for lunging and storage for your feed etc if on DIY. Full livery is excellent too. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
