Nurturing Nature Equine Veterinary Whole Horse Rehabilitation

Have your horse cared for by a vet to recuperate from injury, chronic pain, or illness, to regain functional posture and movement, and to change behaviour by addressing the way they feel. Cases taken on for whole horse rehabilitation on a track system in West Sussex, UK. All cases individually cared for by Dr Lily Wilson MRCVS. Especially suited for horses with undiagnosed pain, recurrent or unresolving injuries, metabolic illness, and behaviours that are currently making veterinary work-up or treatment difficult such as needle shyness or foot handling problems.

This is a full boarding service for the length of time your horse needs to recover. Length of stay will depend on the nature of your case, a minimum of three months is recommended. Visits are by appointment and include teaching sessions for helping you to ensure their recovery lasts when they come home to you.

Price: £1500 per calendar month including all daily care, forage, feed, and supplements, enrichment and games, worming and parasite testing, assessments, foot care – trimming or hoof boots, dental occlusal equilibration including sedation, ethically addressing behaviours like needle shyness, foot handling, head shyness and more, rehabilitation exercise and bodywork, saddle fit evaluation, and emergency first aid. Not included and charged on top are medications, diagnostics such as blood, urine, and skin tests, and imaging such as x-rays, gastroscopy, or more involved diagnostics, any veterinary fees that involve an external vet or hospital’s involvement, shoeing, and equipment going home with them after their stay such as saddles, halters, hoof boots, and similar.
