Newbridge stables is set upon 60 acres.
Indoor flood lit arena & outdoor arena (will be flood lit this year).
Summer riding paddock with a range of jumps and small cross country.
Winter riding paddock.
Newbridge is welcoming to all ages and abilities form happy hackers to to more high level competitors.
Weekly clinics held throughout the year by a range of visiting instructors to cover all areas of training.
All types of livery include ad lib use of hay and haylage.
All horses/ponies/shetlands must have a negative strangles test prior to arrival & be upto date/started flu and tetanus vaccinations.
DIY
Horses/ponies
Use of all facilities.
- Indoor & outdoor arena, included jumps.
- Summer jumping paddock/cross country.
- Winter riding paddock.
- Stable.
- Hot horse shower. Solarium is being installed this year.
- Tack locker/feed storage.
- Trailer parking, no extra charge.
DIY Shetlands
- All of the above in DIY Horses/ponies, no stable.
- Shared field shelter.
Any further livery needs for Shetlands can be discussed.
Assisted 5/7 days
All of the above that is included in DIY.
Either turn out or turn in.
- Feed, feed is to be left ready by owner.
- Hay to field, net is to be left filled and ready the night before by owner.
- Rug change.
- Fly mask, spray/ointment, to be provided by owner.
- Administering of medication.
Full 5 days without exercise/with exercise
All of the above that is included in DIY & assisted.
Full Monday to Friday, DIY on Saturday & Sunday.
- Full care all day.
- Turning out & turning in.
- Feet picking.
- Mucking out.
- Filling of water and nets.
- Making feeds.
- Holding for appointments.
With exercising a plan is to be fully discussed.
Full 7 days
All of the above that is included in DIY, assisted & full 5 days.
- Shavings OR sawdust OR mixed.
- Basic feed. (Supplements & any extra feeding is supplied by the owner).
- Quarterly fecal egg worm count. (Wormer if needed will be charged to the owner).
Full 7 days with exercising/breaking
All of the above that is included in DIY, assisted & full 5/7 days.
- Clipping. (If sedation is needed fees will be charged to the owner)
- Riding/exercising/breaking.
Breaking livery is a minimum of 3 months stay.
Breaking livery’s must be halted broken and handled prior to arrival with hooves in trimmed & in a suitable condition to be starting there ridden career.
Retirement & Youngstock
Both livery options are full 7 days per week all year round.
Grazing Only
- Daily checks. Including rug changes, fly masks.
- Fly spray, sunscreen.
- Daily basic feed. (supplements/special feeding provided by owner).
- Administering of medication.
- 24/7 access to salt, vitamin & mineral licks.
- Weekly photos/owner check in.
- Appointment organisation & holding for dentist, vet etc. (Fees of the professional visiting is charged to the owner)
- Fecal egg counts quarterly. (If a wormer is needed this charged to the owner).
- Holding for farrier. (General hoof trimming is included)
- Foot care, oil/dressing.
- Grooming.
- All paddock management.
Emergency stabling available £8 per night.
With Stable
All of the above in grazing only is included in this package.
- Stable, buckets, hay nets/feeders.
- Stabled over night or in extreme weather/owners request. Stabled in the winter months (November to April).
- Sawdust or shavings or mixed.
- Daily muck out & skip out when required.
Both packages include ad lib hay/haylage all year round.
Grazing depends on your horse’s needs throughout the year. Options can be discussed if restricted is needed in the summer months.
Winter paddock turnout is mixed herd, the back of the field is well screened with mature trees.
