A small, friendly yard, remote and peaceful. Stables, turnout, 20 X 40 grass manege, horse-walker and miles of off-road hacking in the beautiful Piddle Valley and surrounding areas. Muston Down Farm is local to several equestrian centres where regular events are held, in close proximity to four hunts and there are plenty of local instructors. We offer full or assisted livery and can supply hay/haylage and straw bedding. Other bedding types and feed can be supplied as requested.
Muston Down Farm is accessed by a track: we are very much Off-road! The yard is peaceful, with very relaxed horses enjoying plenty of turnout on old (well managed) meadow grass. Part of our grazing consists of water-meadows but in spite of the excessive rainfall last winter, we only had 2 days where horses didn’t go out and this was owners choice, not because of ground conditions.
We have young and old horses, ridden/not ridden and retired. By owners choice, horses are seperated but next to each other and grazing is rotated as much as possible according to the needs of each horse. We have some horses needing as much grass as they want and others needing to be restricted – but all have everyday tunout.
If you want your horse to be somewhere quiet, enjoy hacking, or just want some peace and quality time with your horse, give us a call.
Holiday visits can be arranged.
