Exceptional facilities and professional standards of care at a small yard located just outside Barnard Castle.

Marwood Equestrian is run by BHS Intermediate Stable Manager and Level 4 British Showjumping Coach Sarah Tubbs MSc, and has been established for over 18 years.

Facilities include a stunning 50x30m indoor arena with good ventilation and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. There is also a new hacking track of approx 1.5km providing peaceful off road riding. There is also a lunge pen, horsewalker, hot water shower and solarium as well as individual storage for kit and parking for trailers and horseboxes. Newly upgraded stables are being installed in the American Barn next month.

Turnout is on well drained and well established meadow pasture with Horserail fencing throughout and water piped to all fields. Year round turnout is available except in severe weather.

All types of horses and ponies are welcome and we have particular expertise in caring for competition horses, with an established routine, regular feeds and late check.

Discounted training is available on site with two coaches based here.

Livery packages all include all hay or haylage, chaff and two bales of bedding per week plus turn out and bring in and change rugs and pick out feet if needed, as well giving feed and hay throughout the day as needed.

Assisted Livery also includes skip out pm if mucked out am and the option of one or more days upgrade to full livery – prices start at £640 pcm (£148 per week).

Full Livery is available Monday to Friday or 7 days and, in addition to the above, includes mucking out, grooming and tack cleaning. Prices start at £720 pcm for 5 days Full Livery (£166 per week).
