Lower Farm Stables, Lavendon, is a small family run business established on the Beds/ Bucks/ Northants border since 1991. Originally an award-winning riding school, we have operated solely as a livery yard since 2005.
We have invested significantly in our facilities, including a purpose-built block of 12 spacious 4m x 4m stables, a secure tack room, rug and feed rooms, lockers, tea room and modern security and fire alarm system.
Our 20m x 45m outdoor arena features large mirrors and a Combi-Ride surface installed in May 2024. It is regularly maintained and is equipped with poles and show jumps. We regularly host pole, jumping and dressage clinics, visiting coaches and other events.
The hacking is exceptional. A brideway runs directly through the property and connects to the Three Shires Way, providing fantastic off – road hacking without needing to ride on the road.
We take great pride in our paddocks, managing them ourselves to ensure excellent grazing all year-round. Grazing is aerated, rested and rotated, with a robust ragwort control program. Horses are generally turned out in groups of around 4 providing the three “Fs”: Freedom, Forage and Friends.
The yard owner, Kate Gregory has extensive experience and can provide instruction from beginner to advanced level, schooling and behavioural support, and can ride and train horses where required.
We offer 5 day full livery, Assisted DIY and on occasion can rent a 5 or 6 box section of the yard to an individual or business.
If you like the sound of any of our services and would like to keep your horse somewhere friendly with a high standard of welfare, then please get in touch!
