Having got to know Jo Cannon (Bezzy) through pony club we went on to have regular lessons back at her yard. What a friendly welcoming little yard it is with good facilities. Bezzy is always on hand with good advice if needed, nothing is too much trouble 🐎 highly recommend

I moved to Joanne Cannon's (Bezzy) earlier this year and soon realised how fortunate I was to get a place…in fact at Bezzy’s, the horses are truly the lucky ones! Each livery receives personalised, professional care tailored to their unique needs. Bezzy’s knowledge and attention to detail are exceptional, creating an environment that feels just like having your horses at home, but with the added benefit of her support and guidance. The yard has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere where you can join in lessons, cake clinics, or enjoy hacks on your own or with company if you wish. It’s a relaxed and enjoyable place where you can freely enjoy your horses. If this sounds like the place for you, especially with winter approaching, please get in touch with Bezzy.

I couldn't be more thrilled with Joanne Cannon Equestrian. Joanne (Bezzy) is caring, professional, and super lovely and responsive. I moved my horse there at the end of the eventing season in September 2023…the beginning of winter (always the worst time to own a horse!) but despite the disgusting, wet weather we've had a wonderful experience with continued turnout as advertised and the fields are still looking amazing (heading into February). My horse is the most settled she's been at any yard. She's in a lovely routine, always has a lovely big bed and plenty of ad lib forage. Bezzy is super flexible with all her quirks and individual requirements. The school is great…it has never flooded or frozen and it has good lights. The spring/summer and autumn hacking (which I got to experience a little bit of) is exceptional. The winter hacking through the village is lovely and there are always plenty of friendly people to go with. The liveries are genuinely all lovely and supportive. I can't say enough good things about the yard. It really does cater to your horse as an individual and Bezzy is both an excellent horse woman and people person – a unicorn!

Having known Bezzy since our babies were little, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to bring my pony to her yard as well. A VERY anxious boy, he couldn’t be in better hands. She’s invested in our journey from pocket rocket to happy retirement pony. We’ve now added my daughter’s pony to the crew and won’t be going anywhere! Not only does she have expert tuition on site but Bezzy looks out for her all round equestrian journey as well. This is not just pony care, but rider care too – after all it’s not just the welfare of the ponies that she’s interested in. To top it off I’ve made friends for life with the other ladies at the yard. Highly recommend!

What can I say ….. the most peaceful setting , all year turnout , the BEST care , amazing hacking , expert instruction and fantastic yard mates ! Cannon Equestrian takes a lot of beating – relaxed and supportive Bezzy always goes the extra mile to make sure that both horses and riders are cared for and ready to meet any challenge you care to throw at her . Since being on the yard my fire breathing dragon has turned into a happy , contented horse and we’ve achieved things I never thought possible . I cannot recommend highly enough and feel very blessed to be part of the team !

I can’t rate Team Cannon highly enough. The horses are extremely well looked after, their every need taken care of. This last year being a prime example with the heatwave in the summer where they were fed frozen apples and carrots to keep them cool and then the extreme cold of -12 in the winter with their water being unfrozen hourly with dozens of boiled kettles and hay on demand. Bezzy really does go above and beyond. Bezzy is hugely supportive of the rider too and will happily escort you on the village roads and beyond or go through dressage tests hour after hour or sit and drink tea with a listening ear. Even take you to a venue if needs be. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My horse and I are so grateful to be at this yard

My horse Maisie has been on full time livery at Joanne’s (also known as Bezzy) for 2.5 years. I have total trust and confidence in Bezzy’s very professional care of Maisie. Maisie was 6 when we arrived and it’s fair to say both of us were somewhat lacking in experience. Under Bezzy’s careful schooling Maisie is now competing at affiliated level in dressage.Bezzy is also a brilliant instructor who is kind and has great empathy. The yard is very relaxed and supportive/inclusive . The other ladies at the yard have all become close friends and we have even gone away on holiday together. There are also other fun events such a cake clinics, yard camp outs and children’s days.

Joanne Cannon Equestrian is a fantastic yard. We’ve been there since the first day and wouldn’t think of moving. Joanne Cannon ‘Bezzy’ is amazing, not only is she incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the care of the horses, she is so supportive. Having her there to not only instruct but give encouragement and reassurance has been a life saver to mine and my horses journey.

I've known Joanne for several years and can not recommended her highly enough. She has been a great help to both my horse and I. She is a great trainer. Especially good with riders who have lost their confidence.
