Karen and Jodie are incredibly knowledgeable, professional and super helpful. The yard is spotless and the horses really do receive a 5* service. My boy was in a muddle when I moved him to Thurgood Farm from another yard and was generally run down. Karen’s kindness, skill and expertise in diagnosing his issues soon had my horse feeling well and looking amazing through adjusting his diet and helping me bring him back to fitness with a work programme. Both ladies are accomplished eventers, and experienced dressage riders….. lessons are available and the arena is fantastic. small, genuinely friendly yard where everyone supports and helps each other. Highly recommended.

I have been at this yard for 10 years arriving with a very feisty rescued ex racehorse and a mare with nothing wrong impeccable manners but having a very nervous owner the team at this yard have supported me with advice on anything I needed for my 2 health feed work issues and have given me the confidence to get on my mare improve my riding with their instruction take part in competitions and were with me when I had say goodbye to my boy the team there is great and they have worked hard to add the many facilities available to all

I arrived at Thurgood Farm this January and my horse settled immediately. The owners and staff treat my horse as one of their own and he is totally relaxed and happy. I can rest assured knowing that in my absence he is surrounded by kind knowledgeable people that will go above and beyond to assure his safety and comfort. The facilities are first class and the full livery service I receive is second to none. I cannot rate this yard highly enough. Thank you Karen, Jodie, Kevin and their amazing team.
