We moved to Holt Farm a couple of years ago and are extremely happy with the care we receive. Lucy runs a professional and friendly yard, displaying an excellent knowledge of horses and horse welfare. Lucy has supported me in gaining back my confidence when riding with her patience, support and encouragement. I can’t thank her enough for this.

I joined Holt Farm Equestrian Centre as someone completely new to the area, and after two years my Pony and I couldn’t be happier. Lucy, the proprietor, made sure my pony settled comfortably into the herd, and even though my mare is at the bottom of the pecking order, she has always thrived—even as new horses joined.The facilities and hacking are excellent, and with Lucy’s guidance my “little sports pony” and I have become accomplished all-rounders. As a mostly absent weekday livery, I really value the added care Lucy provides, including daily checks, feeds,vet, farrier etc etc and those all-important winter rug changes! She knows every horse well, anticipates their needs, and keeps owners updated. Whatever your livery requirements, Lucy always goes the extra mile. I had my horse at this livery yard and my overall experience was very good. The staff were friendly, helpful, and clearly cared about the horses, which gave me real peace of mind. The facilities were well-kept and the yard had a calm, welcoming atmosphere that made it a nice place to spend time.My horse was always well looked after, and communication from the yard was consistent and reassuring. My pony has been stabled at Holt Farm Equestrian for 7 years. It’s everything a yard should be. My pony has access with her herd of 4 to 3 large, flat fields on a rotating basis, all a very short walk from the yard. The facilities are excellent with a great sand school, jumps and a cross country course. There’s easy access to great hacking routes. Lucy is a brilliant manager. She arranges loads of events: clear round competitions, pole clinics, dressage events etc but what makes it really special is Lucy herself. She’s so knowledgeable and always on hand with care and advice when needed. She’s ensures that the ponies have everything they need to stay healthy and happy from arranging worming, dentists, farrier, physio, saddler etc The yard is well run and well maintained. My pony lives in pony paradise!!

I have been at holt farm from almost 9 years now and 2 things I have seen constant is my self and great management. The way Lucy cares and keeps the yard maintained is exceptional and main reason is because she owns the yard and no one can look after a thing better then the owner . She is always there for little to big things , good communication is the key , she always caters my horse on a short notice . Her advise is very on point . On top of all the facilities biggest thing is all the fields are inside the yard gate so totally safe . Her prices are reasonable and only increase when things get more expensive but still stay very reasonable . The time I have been here is because I feel so comfortable leaving my horse here even when I am away . I love holt farm and Lucy is one of the most reliable and passionate yard owner I have seen . She is fabulous.
