HMN Sporthorses is a private professional yard near Berkeley in Glos, offering full, training, sale, rehab, para and competition livery (no DIY), lessons and training.

A small yard of 8 horses, enabling completely individual care and attention – this is a family run yard and your horse will be looked after by Holly herself. The yard has a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and it feels very much like a family. An ideal place if you enjoy being part of a close-knit yard and as a result places don’t come up very often.

We pride ourselves on being able to turnout all year round, even in the wettest winters. We have concrete walkways to the winter fields and hayhutches on concrete areas within the fields so the horses can stand on dry ground and eat clean hay. The horses are turned out overnight and stabled during the day, year round. The yard works perfectly for someone who prioritises turnout and who can ride during the daytime while the horses are stabled.

This yard would suit an aspiring dressage rider, a para rider, a horse rehabbing from injury or a retired horse that still needs some stabling.

A bit about Holly – she is an ambitious and successful Inter1 dressage rider who trains with Gareth Hughes and has particular experience working with ‘challenging’ horses, ex-racehorses and breaking in youngsters, always using a calm, kind and sympathetic approach without gadgets or short-cuts. She teaches a variety of riders including children and event riders, with pupils qualifying and winning at Para Championships, ROR Championships, Area Festival Championships and Badminton Grassroots Championships. Holly has experience and success working with Para riders, something she really enjoys and currently has a Grade 1 rider on the yard.
