At our professionally run yard, your horse’s welfare always comes first.  A full livery yard offering experienced professional care for your horse.

Horses are our passion.  All livery at Gamston Wood is full livery, meaning that we take care of your horse’s basic needs 7 days a week, including bank holidays and Christmas.  At our yard, your horse’s welfare always comes first. We pride ourselves on learning the character of your horse and managing them according to their needs.

Winter Full Livery includes allocated stable, wood pellet bedding on rubber matting, haylage or hay, basic hard feed, feet picked twice daily, daily turnout, use of arena and wash area. Summer Full Livery includes the use of a stable, full-time turnout in our managed paddocks, twice daily checks, rug management if needed, use of arena, show jump field, farm rides, grass dressage arena, and wash area. We also offer holiday livery, with exercising and schooling for an extra cost.

Offering excellent facilities in an idyllic setting… our schooling arena, jumping field, summer gallop, farm track, stables, and grazing; all facilities are maintained to the highest of standards.

Yard Owner Rachel Ashworth is an accredited British Horse Society and Pony Club coach, recently becoming chief instructor with the Grove Hunt Pony Club. With a wide range of experience covering all rider levels, ages, aspirations, and disciplines, we offer qualified, experienced tuition in order to improve the partnership with your horse, and offering a range of structured training across all disciplines. We also run regular group lessons and clinics at Gamston Wood.

Our team of qualified and experienced staff has a dogmatic determination to help you get yourself and your horse back on track through our schooling and rehab services. Whether its an injury requiring box rest, fittening work, or a behavioural or schooling problem that needs addressing.
