(details below)We offer a very bespoke individual service for a max of 20 grass liveries, for owners who want their horses to have the best retirement or resting period they can have, not having to sacrifice any of their needs or requirements, just because their working life has come to an end or on pause. It really is so difficult to explain how special it is here and what we have created, within our beautiful surroundings, we welcome you to come and see for yourself, it really is horse heaven.With all year round turnout in groups of no more than 5 horses – herds currently 4/5.We are down a long private lane with, 80 acres, none of which touch a road, our summer and winter fields ranging from 6-8 acres. All our grazing is taken care of, harrowing, rolling, reseeding, rejuvenating, all our fields are rested for a min of 6 months ensuring our horses always have the best.Each field has big hedges and lots of natural shelter, along with field shelters, in every field.  Our winter fields have huge (big enoug to take 5 horses at anytime), bespoke field shelters fully rubber matted and stacked with our own home grown fabulous haylage (ad-lib in hay bars inside and outside the shelters, one per horse plus a few extra!) throughout the winter months. Along with huge loafing  areas around the shelters of Astro turf hard standing, and tracks, our horses have the luxury of full turnout with the option of somewhere dry to stand, lie and feed, and not have to get their feet muddy should they choose not to go out ! we do not have any mud fever.Shelters and Astro areas are cleaned twice daily, this ensures the horses can decide where they are most comfortable.The horses are checked both morning and evening (and lots in between!).They can be seen from our house, our yard is only 50m from the kitchen, we are surrounded by our beautiful residents.Rug changes are provided all year round to ensure your horse is comfortable and happy whatever the weather.We arrange and assist the vet and farrier during routine treatments.Burscott Farm welcomes a lovely breeze during the summer months which keep away the pesky flies, but we happily fly rug and mask any of our horses, and they have shelters to retreat too if required.Our home is very quiet and peaceful and horses settle immediately into retired life with us, we welcome horses from all over the UK, as well as abroad with residents from Norway and France.We provide superb facilities and an outstanding level of care. All the horses are taken care of by myself – Jess with he support of my Husband and Son. I am very experienced with a wealth of knowledge having owned and worked with horses all my life – currently I have event horses and showjumping ponies. I have been involved with the sport for 16 years, along with racehorses, hunters and rehabbed many equines for clients, which I still do on request.Burscott Farm provides home from home care, ensuring every horse we have to stay has lots of love and the highest standard of attention, I dedicate my everyday to their health and happiness, each and every horse is treated as my own while in my care.Owners are always welcomed to visit their horses at our closed private, retirement only yard. Lots of photos will be sent, with messages regularly.You are welcome to speak with owners for references and are very welcome to come have a look around.We have built a brand new yard specifically for our retired grass livery horses, that stay empty, so we can always offer our owners and their horses the option of coming in and being stabled, either for health reasons or for the winter should this be requested, either long or short term.We also provide Full VIP Luxury Retirement Livery for those unable to live out all year round for a variety of reasons. This is on our beautiful horseshoe 6 box yard, equipped with 15’ x 13’ stables, individual CCTV, solarium, hot wash bay and rug washing/drying facilities, all year turnout either in our winter grass or astro paddocks, this offers the ultimate Luxury for your equine.
