I moved my retired gelding to Cross Trees and right from my initial enquiry nothing was every too much trouble. He settled in immediately, Amy and her team go above and beyond to ensure that he (and all the horses in their care) are looked after with just as much love as they would have at home. Amy and the team are all very friendly, knowledgeable and care very deeply for their precious liveries!

I cannot praise Amy and the team too highly. The care and attention these retired horses receive is second to none. Also, the communication with the owners is amazing. The environment is peaceful and the horses are really relaxed. They are kept in small herds of no more than four and care is taken to ensure each herd is cohesive. Our horse has lived her entire life in a stabled environment and has adapted to living outside very well; due in no small part to the care given by Amy and her team. We feel so lucky to have found this place for our horse.

I have 3 very different horses who have been with Amy for almost 2 years. When I made the decision to retire them, I looked extensively for somewhere that would suit them (and me). Amy spent a great deal of time chatting to me on a day that was very busy for her due to poor weather and we arranged a visit. I’ll admit I was nervous, I live almost 4 hours away, had always been very involved in their previous excellent care and they’d never been turned out 100% of the time. I found everyone relaxed and happy during my visit which was in the depths of winter. So we made the move…The 3 stepped off the lorry and were immediately taken care of as individuals. Their herds were carefully selected and I left them all settled and calm. Amy and her team keep owners up to date with lovely photos and messages, is incredibly welcoming when we visit and each time I visit I’m delighted to find the horses relaxed and well. One of my horses has CPL which is taken care of and I appreciate that is often challenging and time consuming. I’m delighted that I found Cross Trees, I completely trust Amy and team and highly highly recommend.

I have had the absolute pleasure of keeping my big precious lad with Cross Trees for the past year. It was a tough decision to allow someone else to care for him, but it was soon apparent that it was totally the right decision. Amy, along with the team, have gone above and beyond to ensure that Nugget’s health and happiness was paramount. All of the horses at Cross Trees exude happiness and contentment and their health is given total priority. Their individual needs are taken into consideration and herd members are carefully chosen and integrated. I would 100% recommend anyone looking for retirement or rehabilitation livery for their precious equine give Cross Trees a call. You will not regret it and neither will your horse. It is possibly the best thing I ever did for Nugget and can’t thank them enough.
