Review by Natalie King – Jul, 2025
I’ve been extremely lucky to have been at Butlers Hill Livery over the years; firstly, with my geriatric cob, who was on livery for a number of years. He suffers from sweet itch and the team were brilliant at maintaining his skincare routine, applying lotions and potions all summer long, year after year. The land did wonders for his arthritis – he was able to move and use his body correctly. I was lucky enough to purchase a property with land, so he came home to us.Later, I purchased an ex-racehorse. Somewhat out-of-my-depth at home retraining him alone, it made sense to move him to Butlers Hill for some education and growing up. He benefitted enormously from the wonderful varied hacking – from open fields, to pleasant villages, to ancient woods, he experienced a huge amount. The liveries at Butlers are lovely, it’s a tight knit community and lots of people to join on hacks.I’ve always been extremely happy with the care and love given to my horses, and I feel so lucky to have had so many wonderful fun ride memories with the owner, Joe, and the other liveries on the yard.
