On the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells on the Kent and East Sussex border offering 18 acres of secure grazing. All of our paddocks have either excellent natural shelter or purpose built field shelters, we turn out all year – our winter paddocks are on sandstone so minimal mud.

We strongly believe that retired horses should be kept out 24/7 and we aim to place horses in pairs or three’s so that they can establish long-lasting relationships. Every horse has different needs so we offer bespoke livery dependant on your horses requirements.

The horses benefit from being able to enjoy a long and happy retirement. From laminitic ponies to ex-racehorses we have had experience of all types of horses and are able to accomodate all. Established over 22 years and living on site your horse will enjoy 5 star care, call to discuss your horses retirement.

We can offer DIY Grass livery on occasion.

I can't rate Ardenvale highly enough. My old boy is not usually the quickest horse to settle but he found his feet very quickly here and is perfectly calm and content and still going strong. The gazing is excellent and well managed, the atmosphere is brilliant – tranquil for the horses and warm and friendly for the humans. Carol is very thoughtful, sensible and takes excellent care of the horses. A really superb retirement yard all round!

I loved being at Ardenvale, my horse Karat, an old boy, settled immediately and happily spent his retirement grazing the fields. The other liveries were friendly, people & horses! Carol was caring & helpful and it was like keeping your horse at home. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
