September sees the launch of Back to School with Bedmax, a month-long campaign designed to help horse owners and yard managers refresh their knowledge of horse health, stable hygiene and good stable management practices.
While stabling is a normal part of life for many horses, the stable environment can have a significant impact on a horse’s health and wellbeing. Air quality, dust, ventilation, forage, bedding and ammonia levels all play a part, and small changes in stable management can make a real difference.
To help horse owners and yard managers learn more, Bedmax has created a new educational article covering the key issues around stable health and hygiene — followed by a 10-question multiple-choice quiz to put your knowledge to the test.
And there’s an incentive to take part!
Everyone who completes the quiz will receive a small free gift, as well as being entered into the September prize draw, with four lucky winners each receiving 10 bales of their preferred Bedmax bedding.
The aim of the campaign is not simply to promote bedding, but to encourage everyone responsible for horses to think about the environment in which horses spend their time and to understand how good stable management can support their health and wellbeing.
