The Association of British Riding Schools, Livery Yards and Equestrian Centres (ABRS+) is delighted to announce the launch of the Riding in the Community Conference, which will take place at Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex on Monday 15th May.
With a wide range of speakers who bring expertise and a wealth of experience to the conference, the day will offer a practical insight for riding schools, equestrian centres and livery yards who are looking to safeguard and futureproof their business, whilst navigating the changing landscape of the equestrian industry.
Jane Williams, Chair of the ABRS+ said, “In these volatile times, the equestrian industry faces many challenges which lead to our Conference aim: Riding at the Centre of the Community in which we live and work. We are delighted that influential equestrian leaders will outline their plans for the development of our community. This will be complemented by members, tackling these challenges, sharing their journeys, and the resulting development of their businesses to provide useful insights for our consideration.”
CEO of British Equestrian, Jim Eyre, is speaking at the conference and added, “Grassroots riding is the bedrock on which all other riding disciplines are built and its health is critical to the future of equestrianism.
As CEO of British Equestrian, I see the significant challenges facing riding schools, livery yards and riding establishments and how hard it is to keep pace with the change necessary for a secure future.
Therefore, I’m very much looking forward to the ABRS+ Conference – it is essential that we try to tackle the challenges facing equestrianism collectively, and the more we can do as a sector, through initiatives such as this, the better. It is great to be able to come together to share best practice and top tips, develop and debate ideas, catch up with friends and colleagues, and learn from each other to improve the way we do things.”
The event is open to both members and non-members, and will be preceded by a Pre-Conference Dinner on Sunday 14th May where attendees will be welcomed by after-dinner speaker Julian Marczak, President of the ABRS+.
