SEIB and LiveryList Launch New Insurance Webinar Series

Running a livery yard comes with a huge amount of responsibility. From caring for horses and managing facilities to working with clients, staff and freelance professionals, there’s plenty to think about every day. But when it comes to insurance, do you really understand what your policy covers?

At LiveryList, we know how important it is for yard owners to have access to clear, practical information to help them run their businesses with confidence. That’s why we’re delighted to be working in partnership with SEIB Insurance Brokers to launch a new webinar series designed specifically for livery yard owners.

Making yard insurance easier to understand

Earlier this year, LiveryList and SEIB surveyed 108 livery yard owners across the UK to better understand their experiences of insurance and where they need more support. The findings highlighted just how confusing insurance can be, with 47% of respondents saying they find insurance policy wording difficult to understand. What’s more, 85% believe insurers should do more to educate yard owners about insurance cover, policy wording and best practice.

We listened, and this new webinar series is designed to help address those concerns. Rather than getting lost in complicated terminology, the sessions will focus on practical guidance, relatable examples and the questions that matter to people running livery yards.

First webinar: Understanding Your Yard Insurance

Our first session will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2026, from 7pm to 8pm, and will focus on the fundamentals of livery yard insurance.

Hosted by Cheryl Johns, Founder of LiveryList, alongside Kathleen Tansey, Equestrian Sales Team Leader at SEIB, and Tasha Vodden, Head of Broking & Operations at SEIB, the webinar will help you develop a clearer understanding of your insurance and the cover that may be relevant to your yard.

During the session, we’ll explore:

  • The key types of insurance cover relevant to livery yards.
  • Common insurance terms and what they actually mean.
  • What to consider when reviewing your existing policy.
  • Changes to your yard or business that you may need to tell your insurer about.

Whether you’re an established yard owner or newer to running a livery business, this session is an opportunity to build your knowledge, understand the questions you should be asking and feel more confident when reviewing your insurance arrangements.
