The equine rehabilitation yard provides, specialists, compassionate care for horses requiring a higher level of support than standard livery. Designed for horses recovering from injury, surgery, Illness or managing long-term conditions, the yard offers a calm, structured environment focused on welfare, healing and progressive rehabilitation.
Each horse is cared for by a Registered Veterinary Nurse and Qualified Animal Physiotherapist, ensuring a clinical yet empathetic approach at every stage of recovery. Rehabilitation programmes are individually tailored and always guided by veterinary recommendations, recognising that no two horses or injuries are the same. Programmes may include controlled exercises, in-hand walking, poles work, therapeutic exercises, stretching, and physiotherapy modalities all adapted as the horse progresses.
We welcome horses requiring box rest, restricted turnout, or carefully managed rehabilitation including – orthopaedic injuries, post-operative cases, laminitis recovery, soft tissue injuries, poor performance investigations and geriatric horses needing additional support.
The yard benefits from excellent rehabilitation facilities, allowing programmes to be progressed safely and appropriately. These included a arena for controlled exercise and assessment, a round pen for calm, structed rehabilitation work and a horse walker to support consistent, low- impact exercises where indicated. A solarium is also available to aid muscle relaxation, circulation, and comfort as part of a wider rehabilitation plan.
CCTV provides additional reassurance, allowing for regular observation where needed.
