Lower Farm Stables is a small family business opened in 1991. Originally a BHS approved riding school, since 2005 we have solely operated as a Livery Yard.

We offer 5 day full livery.  Including hay and bedding, mucking out, turning out and bringing in, picking out feet, rug changes and poo picking. Exercise, grooming and tack cleaning are available as extra services. We  offer very high standards of care, horse welfare is central to everything we do.

We offer a brand-new block of 12 stables in an enclosed yard, incorporating many extra features to produce a truly unique yard. All stables are a minimum of 4m x 4m, have dual lighting, a tap and a large window giving your horse a choice of views!

Rug and feed rooms have plenty of space, plus lockers for valuables. Our tack room is very secure and the whole site has a security system and fire alarm. The yard is secure and gated with owners living on-site.

Our outdoor arena is 20m x 45m, with mirrors and new Combi Ride surface, with plenty of poles and jumps.

Hacking is exceptional. The bridleway runs through the property and joins the Three Shires Way: No need to ride on the road at all.

We are also very proud of our paddock maintenance. As a result, we can offer grazing all year round. The horses are grazed in groups of about 4. We believe that all horses should be entitled to the three “Fs” freedom, forage and friends.

Regular clinics and events with various coaches, as well as regular clinics with yard owner Kate Gregory BHSIsm.

Other facilities include a clipping/ shoeing/ wash down bay, cameras, tea room, surfaced car parks and clean toilets!
