Yard Details

Here at Gawsworth Track Livery we offer 24-7 turnout year-round on purpose built track with free access to our large airy walk in barn which has bedding and salt/mineral licks.

We have very little mud and the horses really seem to appreciate it as well as the owners

We offer full livery which covers ad-lib hay out on the track as well as feeding provided feeds, hoof picking and rug checking/changing.

Owners can be involved as little or as much as they wish which makes it a perfect retirement livery option as well as normal livery

The horses here are treated as our own and are the picture of health.

We are the largest surfaced track (that we know of anyway) with over 720 tonnes of sand and stone

The variety of our surfaces mimics varied surfaces that wild horses would be crossing daily which in turn stimulates healthy hoof growth and helps with many barefoot rehab issues.

Many of our liveries have come to us due to illnesses such as laminitis and EMS. These horses have been confined to stables or concrete pads as the rich Cheshire dairy grass is just too dangerous for them. Since being with us these horses are now thriving and living a happy natural life within a herd.

We have over 30 acres of fields which you can hack around and also have a good gallop, we also cross the fields to access quiet country lanes as well as local bridle paths. Somerford park farm is only a 15 min trailer/box drive away which has fantastic facilities including a huge farm ride as well as many clinics and camps.

If you would like to join our happy herd and lovely bunch of livery clients please get in touch ASAP as places are filling up FAST!!

Review by Jackie Hughes – Jan, 2025
First class care taken of the horses. It is no exaggeration to say that Bethan and her GTL team saved our horse’s life. Wexford was stricken with Laminitis at Christmas 2023. We did all we could for him but things were heading only in one fatal direction until we delivered him into Bethan’s care in March 2024. He’s had a hard journey back to health but he’s doing do well now. Head over Facebook and see his journey. We are forever grateful to GTL for his past and on going care. He’s happy being a horse again! BTW GTL is a great place for already healthy horses too ❤️

Review by Alice Tongue – May, 2020
My name is Alice Tongue, I have had my horse Apollo on Gawsworth Track Livery for a few months now and I am already shocked with the results in my horses feet! Apollo suffers with Laminitis, Cushings, Navicular Changes, Inflamed Coffin Joint and has damaged his DTFlexor Tendon. Apollo loves his new life living freely in a herd using the different surfaces around the track to harden his feet naturally. Apollo has always been shod so i was apprehensive about going shoeless, it was the best thing i ever did! The team at Gawsworth Track Livery have been beyond amazing! Apollo is always happy and relaxed. Bethan and Dan always keep me updated on any changes or simply just pictures of Apollo chilling with his friends. I cant Thank everyone who is apart of Apollos life enough for everything they are doing they have given my pony a new happy, loving and comfortable life and they take care of him fantastically. I am absolutely in love with Gawsworth Track Livery!
