After a lengthy period of research, we’re delighted to co-host a webinar for livery yard owners and managers “Livery Yard Managers Unite: results of a research study into yard management in the UK” . Due to the popularity of the first session, we will be repeating this on TUESDAY 26TH JUNE 2022 at 7pm.
The research has been undertaken by Tamzin Furtado, a social scientist with a background in global health, and has a specific interest in the interconnections between human and animal health and wellbeing, who has undertaken a two-year study about livery yard management in the UK. Many of our LiveryList yard owners, and members of our Yard Owner support group have participated and contributed to this research from polls and surveys to interviews.
In this webinar, Tamzin will explain the results of her research. This study has explored the highs and lows of yard management, and the reasons for common issues such as client conflict. This webinar will give an overview of the results, with the emphasis on practical solutions which some managers found to common problems – we will also have plenty of time for your experiences, comments and questions.
Tamzin has held an earlier version of this with Dr David Marlin- equine scientists and member of the National Equine Welfare Council (NEWC) and although similar, this version will be more geared to advising and supporting livery yard owners on the finding of the study.
The webinar is completely free to join and will be held via Zoom. Link to follow. The presentation will be about 45 minutes, with a Q&A session to follow.
